This Privacy Policy explains what information Black Hat Brew collects when you use our website and Services, why we collect it, and how it's handled.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, and phone number when you sign up
- Contact form submissions: name, email, and any message you send us
- Scan request details: the target you specify, scope notes, urgency, and your contact information
- Usage data: basic analytics about how the site is used, collected via Google Analytics
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Create and manage your account
- Review, prioritize, and act on free scan requests
- Respond to contact form inquiries
- Send you password reset and account-related emails
- Improve the site based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
Account data, contact submissions, and scan requests are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Password authentication is handled entirely by Supabase Auth — we never see or store your raw password.
When you submit a free scan request, a summary of your request is also sent to our internal team notification channel so we can respond promptly.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and submission data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@blackhatbrew.com.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This may involve cookies that collect anonymized usage data. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including row-level access controls on our database and encrypted password storage handled by our authentication provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
